How long will it take the police to arrive?
Every call is prioritized and handled according to the seriousness of the incident and location.  The dispatcher may not be able to provide you with a response time as many calls may be received at one time and officers may be diverted to a more serious incident.  To improve response time to your call, be sure that you give as much detailed information as possible to the dispatcher .

How do I find out if School has been canceled?
Please do not call the police department to find out if school has been cancelled.   The school department will notify the television and radio stations should school be cancelled or delayed.  These are your best sources for this information.  If conditions are bad enough to cancel school, our dispatchers would be with emergency calls such as traffic collisions and vehicles off of the roadway.  By calling for updates on school cancellations, you may delay us from helping someone with an emergency.
